Profile

Our production office is located in Manila, Philippines. Each member of our staff is an architectural school graduate, either licensed in the Philippines or preparing for licensing exams. Around one third of the staff is senior level, one third intermediate, and one third junior level.

We provide a variety of services at various levels of involvement in our Client's projects, from as simple as converting hand drawings to CAD files to complete production of Design Development drawings through Construction Documents. For one client we may be assigned specific tasks, such as developing wall sections and interior elevations, while for another client we may be given basic schematic plans and asked to provide a complete set of working drawings under their design direction. Basically, we are an extension of your office, working directly under your project managers, with the capability of providing architectural services to suit your specific needs. Our staff is trained in producing work to the highest U.S. Standards, and is required to participate in our continuing education program.

Outsourcing

Several factors have come together over the last few years to make outsourcing attractive to U.S. architectural and design firms. The current state of high speed broadband technology allows us to communicate and transfer data effectively from anywhere in the world. Globalization of the AEC industry has impacted the way we do business, and the trend continues.

The 2006 AIA Firm Survey indicated over 60% of architecture firms outsource work. Many larger firms have established their own in-house subsidiaries overseas, reducing CAD production costs and increasing profitability.

Fee Structure

Development of a clear definition of scope usually determines whether we contract on a time and material basis or provide a fixed fee. During the preliminary phases of a project, we usually work on a time and materials basis. Once the scope of drawings required has been clearly set (we have a checklist to help determine this) we can provide a proposal for a fixed fee. We typically work on a T&M basis through completion of Design Development and transition to a fixed fee for completion of Construction Documents, but structure our fees according to the unique requirements of each new project.

We generally produce our work for less than one-fourth to one-third of your in-house cost in the U.S. Please contact us for more information or a quotation.
